Fall 2024 Session
September 11 – October 30

8-Week Live Online Course • Wednesdays • 5:30–7:30pm PT

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Machine Learning concepts using projects. Week-by-week we will introduce core concepts through lecture and put them into practice in a hands-on lab. Each lab will involve exercises in building Machine Learning projects. By the final week, teams of students will showcase their very own Machine Learning projects in a final presentation. Students will also gain the skills and assets to build out their projects further in the future.

  • Learn fundamentals of Machine Learning through project-based learning

  • Use the program as a launch pad to explore data sets and build your own Machine Learning projects through a personal development environment setup

  • Discover how to analyze and label data

Dr. Jason Liang

  • B.S., Mathematics - University of Chicago

  • Ph.D, Mathematics - University of Michigan

Prerequisites

  • Students will need to use Linux, Mac, or Windows OS

  • Basic Python coding knowledge required

  • Math Level: Algebra 2 (Basic Statistics optional but not required)

  • Recommended for students in 10th-12th grade

By the end of the course, each student will:
