LIVE ONLINE COURSE • GRADES 9 & 10
Introduction to Research guides 9th and 10th-grade students through the essential steps of writing a research paper.
Students will learn how to choose a topic, conduct research, evaluate and cite sources, and avoid plagiarism.
The course is structured to cover a research topic over eight class sessions within a four-week period.
Prerequisites
No research experience or predetermined topic is necessary.

Through engaging lectures, personalized guidance, and hands-on practice, students will:
Learn how to develop a research question
Discover how to find sources for a topic
Find out how to critically evaluate and cite sources
Have a one-on-one consultation with program instructor Dr. Hong
Write a 3-5 page research paper that incorporates at least 5 sources
Develop and deliver a 5-minute presentation
Receive an official CFGL Certificate of Completion
