A Message to Elite Families About COVID-19

Dear Elite Families,

We are writing to update you on the new policies that Elite Educational Institute will put into place over the next weeks in response to COVID-19, more commonly known as coronavirus.

If you have enrolled or are considering enrolling your student in a summer program at Elite, we’re sure your biggest concern is whether classes will be offered. Rest assured—we are prepared.

While much remains uncertain regarding how the virus is spread and how it will impact day-to-day activities over the coming weeks, and while we believe the risk of transmission to be relatively low in areas where Elite Prep branches are located, we are preparing for any eventuality and are ready to offer our world-class curriculum and college preparatory services in the safest, most effective ways possible.

To that end, we are implementing the following changes:

Enhanced Cleaning

All Elite Prep branches are following the health and hygiene guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in our classrooms and offices, including daily disinfecting of high-touch points, classroom desks, and door handles. 

Limited Group Classes and Meetings

In accordance with CDC recommendations regarding social-distancing in affected areas, our goal is to decrease the number of instances that require students and teachers to gather in large groups or spend extended periods of time in close proximity with each other. Following the lead of the CDC and local schools, we will be limiting large-group classes and meetings in certain locations. Individual and small-group tutoring sessions and meetings will still be offered on a limited basis.

Online Learning Options

In the event that the CDC recommends social-distancing measures through the start of Elite’s summer session in June, we will virtualize any classes and tutoring sessions that can be made available online.

Though we recognize that an in-person educational environment is one of Elite Prep’s strengths, we also recognize that exceptional measures are required to deal with a health risk that affects us all. Our fully-vetted, expert instructors are prepared to work with students virtually and bring Elite’s proven curriculum and engaging teaching methods to an interactive online environment. We’re confident that our students will see the same score improvement with online classes as they would in an in-person classroom environment.

Summer class schedules and online-learning arrangements are currently being determined and will vary based on the location of your local Elite Prep branch. Your Elite Branch Director will contact you with updates when they are available.
