• Program Scheduling and Marketing – Plan class and program schedules for the branch office; develop and implement advertising and marketing campaigns to promote Elite’s program offerings.
• Student Enrollment and Management – Counsel students and parents on a regular basis regarding student's academic performance and college plans; oversee accurate recording and maintenance of data associated with students’ work performance at Elite.
• Human Resources – Hire and train staff, including instructors and administrative staff.
• Budget Planning and Bookkeeping – Plan the annual budget and strive to maximize the profitability of the branch office by increasing student enrollment and implementing cost control measures; oversee accurate bookkeeping and accounting of office finances.

EOS Online Teacher Needs/Availabilities:

• English (AP Literature, AP Eng Lang, etc.)

EOS Teacher Primary Responsibilities:

• Grade student assignments submitted through online portal within 3 business days of assignment submission
• Respond within 24-48 hours to student inquiries submitted through online messaging portal
• Manage discussion board to encourage participation and respond to student comments
• As needed, participate in weekly meetings and training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree & above or teaching credential (Masters candidates included). Desired Major Areas of Study are Humanities, STEM, Social Sciences, Art, Film
• Bachelors degrees may still be considered
• Strong to quite strong in Written Communication Effectiveness and Mastery
• Prior teaching/tutoring experience preferred but not required

Ideal candidates will display:

• Adept at web technology use, including but not limited to online learning management systems (e.g. Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)
• Adept at online collaborative workspaces, such as Google Suites

Elite Prep is looking for creative, energetic instructors to help high school students to succeed in the following subject area(s):

• College Essay Coaching & Editing

During the late summer to early winter season, Instructors will work as College Essay Editors for high school seniors on the essay components (i.e. personal statements and supplements) of their college applications. Outside of college application season, continuing Instructors may teach classes and subjects more widely offered, including but not limited to: middle and high school English, SAT/ACT Reading and English, AP English, and ESL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide students with specific edits re: the style, topic, structure, grammar, and originality of their college application essays
• Via video conference, consult with students regularly on a series of prompts and drafts, leading to the best possible outcome for each unique student/college
• Conduct virtual writing labs for small groups and 1:1 conference calls with other students
• Work closely with Branch Director or Counselor re: students’ applications and school lists
• Monitor progress of students and project-manage according to deadlines
• Perform college research to help students optimize their essays
• Attend faculty meetings and trainings

NOTE: Elite provides instructors with job training and lesson plans from our own curriculum. Instructors are not required to create their own lesson materials or find their own students; however doing some industry research pertaining to colleges and application requirements is encouraged for College Essay Instructors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for employment:

• Bachelor's degree (completed)
• Strong background in English, Writing, or Humanities
• Prior teaching/editing experience is preferred
• Familiarity with virtual teaching and editing platforms (Zoom, Google Docs, etc.) is preferred

Ideal candidates for the position will display:

• Up-to-date knowledge on college application requirements
• An understanding of seasonal priorities and deadlines
• Insight into what makes a strong college essay, as well as the various essay types required
• Ability to clearly communicate expectations and set goals with students
