2013 Elite Year in Review
2013 has been an amazing year at Elite! Let’s take a quick stroll through the past year...
- This June’s Elite Teacher Convocation was EXTRA exciting, because for the first time, we invited and celebrated our outstanding Administrative Assistants (an incredibly important part of the operation) and hosted our Community Scholar Outreach Program coordinators. Elite Teacher Convocation: Not just for teachers anymore!
- Teacher Convocation also meant another awesome round of nine E-Talks given by Elite faculty. How cool is it that we have teachers who are excited to get up in front of their colleagues and share the wisdom and knowledge they’ve gained by teaching at Elite?
- Elite of China opened its doors in 2012, but 2013 saw TWO MORE branches open in Shanghai. We now have three branches in China. Additionally, Elite of China has been hosting a fascinating lectures including a talk by Jason Wishnow--co-founder and director of TED Talks--and another from Fredric Raillard, a partner from the legendary Paris/Shanghai ad agency Fred & Farid, who discussed the importance of connection and storytelling in the marketing world.
- After a very successful Summer Boot Camp, our best Elite Vision Expo yet took place this August in Fullerton, where we hosted a capacity crowd of more than 3,000 attendees and added Alumni Workshops led by former Elite students to the event's offerings.
- This year Elite Outreach changed its name to the Elite Community Scholars Program, and it’s exploded in 2013. The last 12 months brought 11 Elite satellite programs serving first-generation and low-income students running at different high schools throughout California, and the program is on-track to grow by leaps and bounds in the new year.
- Finally, 2013 is wrapping up with a brand new branch of Elite Canada that recently opened in North York, Ontario, and preparations being made for FIVE new branches scheduled to open in the new year in San Jose, Thousand Oaks, La Cañada, Mission Viejo, and Plano, Texas.
Clearly, it's been a big year for Elite, and each of our branches has seen its share of changes and milestones, too. As we close out 2013, we would like to sincerely thank you, all of our wonderful students and families, for trusting us to help you acheive your academic goals. Here's to a phenomenal year gone by and a joyful and successful 2014!
